RPGNET NEWS
08/20. Selection of goodies
A fine selection of non-RPG reviews have come in. The post-Gen Con lull is deafening though, and we could use more submissions. If you've got something to say about a game, book, movie, or comic, write something up and send it our way.
08/19. You can be such a fungi
In the latest The Vegetative State of your Roleplaying, Jennifer warns us about Fungi and Non-Flowering Plant Stuffs.
08/18. The W's have it
A pair of "W" products are rolled out as today's new reviews.
08/15. Reviews and convenience
Character tips and cavemen are the subjects of today's new reviews. Need something to play (or to review for us) and can't find it at your local store? Have a look around the RPGnet Store from the comfort of your computer.
08/14. Comes with a selection of hats
Lloyd lays it all out for potential retailers out there, in The Many Jobs of a Game Store Owner.

Board/Tactical Game Review: Rails of Europe by Tom Vasel
This expansion includes several changes, and the major links and simplified rules go a far way into making this expansion practically Railroad Tycoon 1.2.
Board/Tactical Game Review: Senji (2008) by Shannon Appelcline
A beautifully produced, innovative wargame with some Euromechanics and a quick playtime for the genre.
Card Game Review: Pounce by Tom Vasel
Pounce seems like it has some of the trappings of an advanced game - the idea of collecting sets and simultaneous selection are some fairly good mechanics that I've seen in plenty of games. However, the speed element and the high random factor, due to different colors people can play, keeps it at a kids' level.
Card Game Review: Say Anything by Tom Vasel
A very fun party game that combines the best of Apples to Apples with some bidding with Wits and Wagers.
Card Game Review: Through the Ages by Tom Vasel
It's only a card game, but it certainly feels like a civilization game. This is an epic game, although only taking a few hours to play.

RPG Review: Waste World (1997) by David Stallard
Immortal samurai with energy blades. Powered armor with razor-sharp wings. Armies of mad robots bent on destruction. Hardened wasteland warriors. Demons. Undead. Mutants. Ridiculously large guns. Sound like fun? Waste World may be the game for you.
RPG Review: Witch Hunter: The Invisible World (2007) by Mike Fischer
A nice combination of detail, milieu, and playability makes this rule system a real pleasure to use.
